The study also showed that there is a pretty close split between age groups that use the mobile internet. About 48 percent are over the age of 25 while about 52 percent are under the age of 35. Another interested point: there are almost as many people over 55 (4.4 million) that use the mobile internet compared to teenagers (5.1 million).
Some may also assume that only people from high income households are accessing the mobile internet. The study showed that this was not the case. Although it is true that 24 percent of all mobile internet users have household incomes of $100,000 or more, 26 percent of mobile internet users have household incomes of under $50,000.
